Hill View Park

Hill View Park, one of the Idukki tourist places, located at a distance of 2 km from Idukki Bus stand, is a magnificent and well-managed park. The park, stretching over 8 acres enthralls the visitors with hundreds of varieties of crotons, flowers, medicinal plants, and other woods.

Kulamavu Dam

Situated in Kulamavu, the Kulamavu Dam is a gravity dam. The dam part of three dams dedicated to the Idukki Hydro Electric Power Plant that also encloses a manmade lake. Although quite mundane, this dam is a good place for some short sightseeing.

 

Arch Dam

An arch dam is a concrete dam that is curved upstream in plan. The arch dam is designed so that the force of the water against it, known as hydrostatic pressure, presses against the arch, causing the arch to straighten slightly and strengthening the structure as it pushes into its foundation or abutments.

Meesapulimala

Meesapulimala is an Indian peak, the next south of the second highest peak of the Western Ghats on the Idukki District and Theni District border. Its peak is 2,640 metres above sea level. The name derives from its appearance from the southwest of a tiger with prominent whiskers.

Panchalimedu

Panchalimedu is a hill station and view point near Kuttikkanam in Peerumedu tehsil of Idukki district in the Indian state of Kerala. On the Makar Sankranti day, many Ayyappa devotees camps there to witness the sacred Makaravilakku that appears in the Ponnambalamedu near Sabarimala temple

Ramakkalmedu

Ramakkalmedu is a hill station located about 15 Km from Nedumkandom. The main tourism importance of this place is the presence of excellent wind from TamilNadu. Rolling green hills and the fresh mountain air make Ramakalmedu an enchanting retreat. The hills top also offers a panoramic view of picturesque villages of Bodi.

Anamudi Shola National Park

 The Park is surrounded by Eravikulam National Park, Pambadum Shola National Park, Chinnar Wildlife sanctuary, Mathikettan Shola National Park. It is supervised by Kerala Wildlife and Forest department and Munnar Wildlife Division

Mathikettan Shola National Park is a 12.82 km² national park in Poopara village of Udumbanchola taluk in Idukki district of Kerala state, South India.It notified area national park in 21 November

Pampadum Shola National Park

Around 12 sq. km of forest is a tiny bit of wooded land when compared to many other wildlife sanctuaries of the state, but Pambadum Shola, in Idukki district is so dense with the wildness that a trek inside would give you all that rush of adrenaline you’d ever want to in a lifetime. 

 

Parunthumpara

Parunthumpara is a village in the Indian state of Kerala’s Idukki District. It is a small scenic location near Wagamon en route to Peerumedu. Parunthumpara is located 6 km from Peermade and 25 km from Thekkady. The Malayalam word parunth means eagle and para means rock.

Kanthalloor

Kanthalloor with breath taking g beauty and serenity is a perfect spot for a wandering soul. It is one of the villages in the so called Anchunadu (five villages). This village is located on the hills of Western Ghats and has kept some unique treasures that you can never find at other parts of the state

Vattavada

Vattavada is fondly known as the market of Kerala. This region produces a wide variety of crops, which are usually not seen in other parts of Kerala.
